James Bell
James Bell is a British multi-disciplinary artist specialising in abstract painting, conceptual art, and film. His work draws inspiration from his environment and explores themes of mental health, queer identity, and social commentary.
James’s artistic journey began in his teenage years when he was selected for an introduction to Fine Art course at the Slade School of Fine Art, studying under renowned artist Phyllida Barlow. He later earned a BA in Fine Art from Middlesex University, graduating in 2011. Since then, James has exhibited internationally and taken part in artist residencies that have helped shape his creative approach.
